Michael J. Farris is a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition. He is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist and licensed to practice dietetics and nutrition in the state of Florida. He also has a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. In addition to his clinical studies, he possesses B.A. degrees in History and Theology, as well as an M.A. in History. His interest in natural healing coincides with his conversion as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. It was in the church that he was first exposed to simple methods of healing through hydrotherapy, herbs, and diet. He believes in the gospel of health as revealed in Scripture, with its accompanying principles of self-denial and reformation in regard to those things that are harmful to the body. This mindset led him to question vaccination and the overall influence of drugs and the pharmaceutical industry within healthcare.

As a clinician, Dr. Farris completed a residency at a functional medicine and primary care practice, where he integrated nutrition and lifestyle recommendations for patients presenting with polypharmacy and a wide range of conditions. He saw how diet and lifestyle are not only foundational in restoring health but also for helping providers reduce or eliminate the use of medication. Dr. Farris recognizes the importance of clinical nutrition in healthcare for chronic disease prevention and for improving quality of life.
